England tour of Australia 2026 schedule

England’s tour will begin with the three-match ODI series. The first ODI will be played in Perth on November 13, followed by the second match in Adelaide on November 15. The third and final ODI is scheduled for Hobart on November 18.

The T20I series will then begin in Melbourne on November 21. The second T20I will take place in Carrara on November 24, before the teams head to Brisbane for the third match on November 27.

The fourth T20I is scheduled in Sydney on November 29, with the five-match series concluding in Canberra on December 2. England’s management will use the series to assess their wider T20 options while managing the workload of their established fast bowlers.

Brendon McCullum opens up on giving rest to pacers

McCullum has indicated that England’s management will make workload decisions based on the priorities across the international calendar. With the Ashes and other major assignments ahead, the white-ball setup could provide opportunities for players outside the first-choice group. He said:

“Right through the schedule we will look at what the priorities are and how we are able to manage the key players and personnel so that English cricket has the best opportunity to succeed in those times.”

“How do we make sure we have got the best players available for that stuff? We will see, probably the fast bowlers in particular given a bit of a freshen up leading into that Test series, so therefore the T20s may be an area where we can introduce some new talent, which will be important for us as well, to keep growing our talent base in that space.”

“We will work it out. We will do what we think is right to ensure everyone has the best opportunity to succeed and that will include, at times, having to sit guys out.”
