“When the World Cup is played, when we play an ICC tournament, it has its own unique challenge, because you face different opponents, you play at different venues so, you have to prepare differently, think in a different way and that is the challenge.”

It was previously reported that Rohit Sharma is not in the scheme of things for the ODI World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia and would retire after the Lord’s ODI in England. However, dismissing all the rumours, he still continues to represent the Men in Blue in the 50-over format and will once again be seen opening on Sunday.
