As he feels that the star all-rounder has been brilliant as he is a three-dimensional cricketer, as he can bat, bowl and also an excellent fielder. He further said, “But he is an outstanding all-rounder. He is one of the best fielders, he bowls, he bats. The kind of experience he has, he is a very useful member of the team.”
Ravindra Jadeja not in ODI World Cup scheme for India?
As per previous reports, the management was looking beyond Jadeja in the 50-over format as they transitioned towards younger all-rounders like Axar Patel and Washington Sundar with an eye on the 2027 ODI World Cup. It was reported that Jadeja was key in the Test format, but the selection committee looks forward to other young all-rounders in the 50-over format.
However, ending all the speculation, Jadeja is back in the ODI squad, though his place in the ODI World Cup squad is not final; for this series, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar are part of the Asian Games 2026 squad; thus, the Men in Blue have recalled their experienced all-rounder for the series.

Ravindra Jadeja will look to capitalise on the chance provided to him in this format once again.
