Ramesh Powar joins Australian camp amid BCCI job buzz
As Ramesh Powar has joined the Australia U-19 side on Saturday, September 19, to help the young spinners for some days on their ongoing tour of India
Powar spent time with the Australian camp at the Niranjan Shah Stadium as the youngsters went through their bowling practice. He will remain with the Australia U-19 cricket team until Wednesday, when Australia U-19 plays their final Youth ODI against India.

Ramesh Powar was quoted as saying by The Hindu, “The Australian team management approached me quite a few months back to come and spend some time with the young spinners and guide them, so I decided to spend four days with them. It’s a one-off gig, and just a short one to guide the young bowlers.”
The Australian youngsters now have a chance to learn from Powar, who has spent many years in Indian cricket as both a player and coach. He has already worked as India’s women’s head coach, as well as having some domestic assignments, including in Gujarat. He has also worked with overseas teams during short-term tours in the past.

BCCI to finish the formalities by next week
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said after the Board’s AGM on Friday that the candidates are currently being shortlisted. Once that process is completed, the Cricket Advisory Committee will conduct the interviews and is expected to finish the appointment process within the next two weeks.
A New panel will take over from the current selection committee, led by former Tamil Nadu cricketer S Sharath. The current panel also includes Ranadeb Bose from the East Zone, Harvinder Singh Sodhi from the North Zone, Pathik Patel from the West Zone, and Krishen Mohan from the Central Zone.
