The Canada Super60 Women final delivered high-octane drama in Vancouver as Toronto Sixers Women clinched a thrilling 6-wicket victory over <a href="https://cricket.international/where-to-watch-final-toronto-sixers-women-vs-vancouver-warriors-women-live-streaming-details/" title="Where to Watch Final – Toronto Sixers Women vs Vancouver Warriors Women? Live Streaming Details”>Vancouver Warriors Women with just three balls to spare. In a fast-paced 10-over encounter filled with sharp momentum shifts and chaotic run-outs, both teams battled fiercely, but a heroic unbeaten effort in the run chase secured top honors for the Sixers.

Vancouver Warriors Women were put into bat first, opening their innings with Sophie Reid and Phebe Molkenboer. The duo aimed to establish an aggressive tempo early on, constructing a solid 24-run opening partnership. Molkenboer contributed a quickfire 10 off 6 deliveries (featuring one maximum) before a sharp combination from Indu Barma and wicketkeeper Bess Heath resulted in a run-out at 3.3 overs.

Marizanne Kapp then joined Reid to inject serious impetus into the middle overs. The pair put together a blistering 26-run stand for the second wicket, driving the Warriors forward. Kapp blazed her way to 16 off 9 balls with two boundaries and a six before being caught by Mady Villiers off Indu Barma’s bowling at 5.6 overs, leaving the score at 50/2.

The Toronto Sixers bowlers quickly struck back to halt Vancouver’s momentum. Alice Monaghan came in at number four but was clean-bowled for a duck by Sophia Smale just two balls later at 6.2 overs, making it 51/3. Meanwhile, opener Sophie Reid remained anchor-in-chief, playing a crucial knock of 35 off 28 balls packed with 4 fours and a six. Her crucial stay came to an end at 7.3 overs when Amarpal Kaur broke through her defenses to leave the score at 63/4.

Camy Desai made a brief appearance, scoring 2 off 3 balls, before Kaur trapped her lbw at 7.6 overs with the scoreboard reading 65/5. Ami Campbell attempted to accelerate, striking 6 off 6 balls, but fell in the final over, caught by Ella McCaughan off Sophia Smale at 9.3 overs (80/6). What followed in the final half-over was pure mayhem, as Vancouver suffered a catastrophic lower-order collapse featuring four consecutive run-outs. Grace Scrivens smashed a fiery unbeaten 11 off just 5 balls (1 six), but her partners struggled to get on strike or return to their creases.

Ritu Singh scored 2 off 1 before being run out by Amarpal Kaur and Sophia Smale (82/7 at 9.4 overs). Jess Joseph was run out by Heath for 0 without facing a ball (83/8 at 9.5 overs), and Mannat Hundal was run out by Heath and Villiers after scoring 1 off 1 ball on the final delivery (84/9). Vancouver’s innings wrapped up with Achini Perera and Sabah Aslam left waiting in the dugout.

Toronto’s bowling attack put in a spirited display to limit the scoring: Sophia Smale finished with stellar figures of 2/11 in 2 overs, Amarpal Kaur claimed a tight 2/10 in her solitary over, and Indu Barma took 1/28, while Vandana Mahajan (0/16 in 2 overs), Mady Villiers (0/17 in 2 overs), and Laura Cardoso (0/2 in 1 over) kept things under control.

Chasing a target of 85 runs from 60 balls, Toronto Sixers Women faced an early onslaught from Vancouver’s bowling unit. Opener Bess Heath fell for 2 off 3 balls in the very first over (0.5 ov), caught by Ami Campbell off Jess Joseph to leave the team at 5/1. Captain Mady Villiers tried to steady the ship with a 9-ball 9 before Grace Scrivens removed her (caught Campbell) at 2.5 overs with 14 runs on the board.

Sterre Kalis added a brief 9 off 11 balls (1 six) before Scrivens struck again, catching her off her own bowling to reduce Toronto to 26/3 at 4.3 overs. Saachi Dhadwal added a rapid 4 off 3 balls before a run-out executed by Molkenboer sent her packing at 5.5 overs with the score at 39/4.

At 39/4, Toronto Sixers needed a heroic partnership, and they found it in Ella McCaughan and Indu Barma. McCaughan spearheaded the chase with a sensational, match-winning unbeaten knock of 36 off just 20 balls, striking 3 fours and 2 sixes at a strike rate of 180.00. Barma provided phenomenal support at the other end, scoring a cool 18* off 13 balls (1 six). Together, they constructed an unbroken 46-run partnership for the fifth wicket, steering the chase with magnificent composure.

Vancouver’s bowlers tried everything to break through: Grace Scrivens led the attack with brilliant figures of 2/11 in 2 overs, while Jess Joseph took 1/19 in her 2 overs. Sabah Aslam conceded 18 runs without a wicket in 2 overs, Mannat Hundal went for 26 in her 2 overs, and Marizanne Kapp bowled dynamically, conceding just 10 runs in her 1.3 overs.

Owing to McCaughan and Barma’s clutch hitting, Toronto Sixers Women sealed the match at 85/4 in 9.3 overs, lifting the trophy with 3 balls remaining in a final that will live long in the memory.
