The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to get a new title sponsor for their national cricket teams. If things go according to the original plan, then the board could get Muthoot Fincorp as the title sponsor.
On September 24, Gaurav Gupta, a Times of India journalist, provided updates on the Indian cricket teams’ next title sponsor through his ‘ X ‘ post.
BCCI to confirm Muthoot Fincorp as its next title sponsor
According to Gupta’s social media post, Muthoot Fincorp is set to become the title sponsor for the Indian cricket board for the next couple of years. India’s upcoming <a href="https://cricket.international/josephine-nkomo-to-captain-zimbabwe-in-six-match-white-ball-series-against-west-indies/” title=”Josephine Nkomo to Captain Zimbabwe in Six-Match White-Ball Series Against West Indies”>series against West Indies at home is expected to be the first series with the new title sponsor. The India vs West Indies white-ball series is scheduled to start on September 27.
“Muthoot Fincorp to be BCCI title sponsor for the next two years. The BCCI’s new title sponsor’s contract will start with the three-match home ODI series against West Indies, which starts at Kochi on Sept 27,” the ‘X’ post reads.
Confirming the development, the Times of India has claimed in its article that the deal between the cricket board and Muthoot Fincorp will be valid for a 2-year period, which will come to an end by March 31, 2028. March 31, 2028, will mark the Indian cricket governing board’s new commercial cycle, which will cover India’s home bilateral commitments.

However, according to the deal between the board and Muthoot Fincorp, it will provide the title sponsorship for all international and domestic matches until the previously mentioned date. The new title sponsor will be on the Indian cricket team’s jersey from the bilateral white-ball home series against West Indies. The major development came ahead of India’s tight schedule in the lead-up to the 2027 ODI World Cup.
In the coming few months, the Men in Blue are scheduled to be involved in clashes with West Indies, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Overall, during the next two-year time frame, starting from the West Indies series, the Indian cricket team is expected to feature in 10 Tests, 12 ODIs, and 13 T20Is.
As of now, Apollo Tyres is the lead sponsor of the team
Currently, Apollo Tyres is the lead sponsor of the Indian cricket team. They have been associated with the board and the team since 2025. Before Apollo Tyres, Dream11 was the title sponsor of the team.
The cricket board is yet to announce the deal with Muthoot Fincorp through a public statement. They will announce it ahead of the West Indies series, which starts on 27th September.
