Young fast bowler Praful Hinge has spoken about his admiration for Virat Kohli and revealed the Indian batting legend he would most like to dismiss. Hinge picked Rohit Sharma as his dream wicket, mainly because of his unique batting style and fearless approach against fast bowlers.
Hinge also recalled his memorable meetings with Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya during IPL 2026. The youngster revealed Kohli’s simple advice that stayed with him as well as Pandya’s valuable bowling tips, and later followed his IPL debut closely. Hinge explained that Rohit’s unique batting style makes him a special challenge for any bowler. He was especially impressed by the way Rohit attacks bouncers and plays them with great confidence.
The SRH bowler also made it clear that dismissing Rohit is simply a personal dream and not about proving himself against the Indian great.

Virat Kohli’s simple advice to Hinge
Praful Hinge also recalled his first meeting with Virat Kohli during the RCB vs SRH match in IPL 2026. Their pictures went viral on social media, but the young bowler did not get much time to have a long conversation with the Indian batting icon.
Hinge had gone to Kohli mainly for an autograph, and during their brief meeting, the former Indian captain encouraged him to keep working hard and continue playing well. Amid this, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma appointed Delhi State mentor, Vijay Dahiya head coach.
He shared during the same discussion, “I just went to take an autograph from him. He told me to keep working hard and play well. As a person, he is a really good man.”

Praful Hinge reveals Hardik Pandya’s special gesture
Hinge also spoke about his memorable interaction with Hardik Pandya. The two first met during a Vijay Hazare Trophy match, where Hinge bowled to the Indian all-rounder. After the match, Pandya praised Hinge’s bowling, especially his yorkers and bouncers.
Pandya also told Hinge that they would meet again during the IPL, and that happened during the MI vs. SRH game earlier this year. But the biggest moment came for the youngster when Pandya revealed that he had watched Hinge’s entire IPL debut match.
Hinge said, “We first met during a Vijay Hazare match and told Hardik Bhaiyya about his IPL selection. In that match, I also bowled to him, and after the match, he said to me, ‘You are bowling well; your yorkers and bouncers are really good.’
Then, I asked what I can do better, so he shared inputs with me and his experience. And then he said we will meet in IPL. So, we met again in IPL after the match; he was really happy for me. Bhaiyya told me he watched my entire debut match, and he was really happy for him. He said he usually doesn’t watch the full match, but he did because of him.”
