The 11th T20 match of the Women’s Andhra Premier League (WAPL) 2026 at the ACA Stadium in Mangalagiri saw a compelling clash between Godavari Golden Eagles Women and Vizag Fire Birds Women. Electing to construct their innings steadily after being put into bat or taking first strike, Godavari Golden Eagles Women laid down a solid platform through their top order before posting a formidable total.

The Eagles’ innings kicked off with an opening stand between Bathula Harshitha and Gundupalli Udvitha. The pair added 14 runs in 4 overs before Udvitha fell for 3 off 14 balls, caught by Ayesha Singh off the bowling of Palnati Rishika Krishnan. Joined by K Pushpa Gowda, Harshitha helped rebuild, taking the score forward with a 31-run second-wicket partnership before she was caught by M Hasini Choudhary off Pendyala Sarayu for a lively 21 off 21 balls (2 fours).

With the score at 45 for 2 in 6.4 overs, captain Henrietta Flavia Pereira joined Pushpa Gowda, and together they completely took control of the match. The duo mounted an unbeaten, destructive 111-run partnership for the third wicket. Pushpa Gowda played an explosive knock, remaining unbeaten on 91 off 56 deliveries, studded with 10 boundaries and 4 maximums. Pereira provided ideal support from the other end, scoring a composed 34* off 29 balls with 2 fours, powering Godavari Golden Eagles Women to a strong total of 156 for 2 in their allotted 20 overs.

Among the Vizag Fire Birds Women bowlers, Palnati Rishika Krishnan was the standout performer, picking up 1 wicket for 23 runs in her 4 overs. Pendyala Sarayu also claimed a wicket, giving away 35 runs in 3 overs. Captain K Anjali Sarvani bowled economically with figures of 0 for 24 in 4 overs, while K Yashaswini Mani Valli (0/20 in 3 overs), Saranya Gadwal (0/24 in 3 overs), and Sai Thanmayi (0/14 in 2 overs) kept things tidy. M Hasini Choudhary was the most expensive bowler, conceding 14 runs in her single over.

Chasing a target of 157, Vizag Fire Birds Women suffered an early setback as Vursikuti Pushpa Latha was run out for a duck off the second ball of the chase, leaving the team at 12 for 1 in 1.1 overs. M Hasini Choudhary scored a quickfire 20 off 15 balls (4 fours) alongside Koppula Divya Sree Dasari Vishwasree, but Choudhary was caught by Harika off the bowling of Harika to break the 13-run stand, making it 25 for 2 in 3.3 overs.

Soon after, Pendyala Sarayu was bowled by Shristi Sekhar for 10 off 14 balls, reducing VFB-W to 35 for 3 in 6.2 overs. Divya Sree (18 off 23 balls) and Ayesha Singh (15 off 15 balls) attempted to stabilize the middle order, but Divya Sree was eventually retired out at 66 for 4 in 11.0 overs. Shortly after, Ayesha Singh fell caught by Pereira off Pasagadugula Vaishnavi for 15, leaving the chase in jeopardy at 68 for 5 in 11.3 overs.

Kym Vishnu Vardhini fought hard with an unbeaten 23 off 18 balls (2 fours), building a key 33-run stand with captain K Anjali Sarvani (13 off 12 balls). However, Sarvani was caught by Akshaya off Sekhar at 101 for 6 in 14.5 overs. Palnati Rishika Krishnan was quickly run out for 4 (106 for 7 in 15.3 overs), and Sai Thanmayi contributed 14 off 20 balls before being caught by Lahari off Vadde Akshaya. K Yashaswini Mani Valli remained not out on 1 off 1 ball as Vizag Fire Birds Women finished their quota at 129 for 8 in 20 overs.

The Godavari Golden Eagles Women’s bowling unit shared the workload brilliantly. Shristi Sekhar led the attack with figures of 2 for 31 in 4 overs. Korukonda Harika was exceptionally tight, conceding just 15 runs for 1 wicket in her 4 overs. Pasagadugula Vaishnavi (1 for 22) and Vadde Akshaya (1 for 33) claimed crucial breakthroughs in their 4-over spells, while Peka Vinny Suzan bowled a tight spell of 0 for 30 in 4 overs. Driven by an all-round show with both bat and ball, Godavari Golden Eagles Women sealed a comfortable 27-run victory.
