Gurnoor Brar dropped an easy catch in the second innings of the ongoing India vs <a href="https://cricket.international/where-to-watch-2nd-t20i-zimbabwe-women-vs-west-indies-women-live-streaming-details/" title="Where to Watch 2nd T20I – Zimbabwe Women vs West Indies Women? Live Streaming Details”>West Indies 3rd ODI match at theMaharaja Yadavindra Singh PCA Stadium in New Chandigarh. It could be costly for the Men in Blue, as the batter on strike was John Campbell, arguably the most in-form batter for the visitors in the series.

After delivering a wide, India fast bowler Anshul Kamboj went very close to dispatching Campbell in the following delivery. Campbell tried to loft the 133.2kph delivery to clear the inner circle but miscue it. The plan was to direct the ball over the Third Man.

Gurnoor Brar drops John Campbell early in the second innings of IND vs WI 3rd ODI

Gurnoor Brar spotted the chance and ran towards the line of the ball and adjusted himself to take a clean catch. Brar did everything right except grasping the ball.

India put down a simple chance; John Campbell survived. West Indies needs to score 352 runs to win the third match of the three-ODI series against the host, India.

<a href="https://cricket.international/mohammed-siraj-and-amir-jangoo-engage-in-heated-exchange-in-3rd-odi/" title="Mohammed Siraj and Amir Jangoo engage in heated exchange in 3rd ODI”>Mohammed Siraj gets rid of John Campbell soon

John Campbell, however, did not bother the Indian cricket team too much as the other pacer of the team, Mohammed Siraj, helped the Men in Blue get rid of the in-form batter soon, in the following over. On the first ball of the fifth over, Siraj got his bat with a 139.4 kphdelivery, which nipped in to uproot the timber.

Campbell went to play the ball across the line of the ball and ended up in losing his wicket. The Caribbean batter, who scored 62 runs in the first innings and 101 runs in the second innings, was dismissed for 10 runs off 7 balls, with a couple of 4s in the third and the final match of the series. A huge blow for the West Indies cricket team, as John Campbell was their best batter so far in the series.

Multiple injuries ahead of the India vs West Indies 3rd ODI match

Ahead of the third match, there were multople injury updates, Both of the teams were suffered by injury blows. Team India is playing without their leading pacer in the series, Prasidh Krishna, and West Indies are forced to name their playing XI without their opener Justin Greaves, who registered a hundred in the series opener to form a historic first-wicket partnership with John Campbell against India in India, in the 50-over format. Greaves missed two consecutive matches after sustaining a calf injury, which he got while batting in the first match of the series at the Greenfield International Stadium.

India, however, had a proper replacement in their bench. In place of the injuried pacer Prasidh Krishan, who missed today’s match because of a niggle, the Indian team management named Mohammed Siraj in the playing eleven and it paid off instantly. At the moment when the West Indies batters were looking to increase their run-scoring speed, Siraj came and uproot the stumps.
