The India spinner doesn’t believe in changing everything because of the pitch or boundaries, saying he would like to stick to his plans, work on his strengths, and continue improving the areas that are already part of his game.
Ravi Bishnoi was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz, “My philosophy is to do what you know best and keep improving at it. You have to stick to your process and your plans. Playing on good pitches and small grounds is certainly a factor, but you also have to focus on your bowling, how much control you have, and whether you can execute the things you’ve been working on in practice.”

The Indian spinner has admitted that T20 cricket has changed a lot in the last four years, especially when it comes to scoring runs. He pointed out that 170 was once considered a strong total, but it is now an ordinary total, with batters scoring at a much faster rate recently.
Bishnoi shared, “T20 cricket has changed a lot. From 2022 to 2026, things have changed massively. Back then, 170 was considered a minimum score. Today, 170 is barely a competitive total. What was once a winning score has now become an average or below-par score.”
Ravi Bishnoi shines on India comeback
Well, Bishnoi returned to India’s playing XI for the second T20I against Afghanistan after Varun Chakravarthy’s injury. He bowled four overs and finished with 1/32 at an economy rate of 8.00.
Bishnoi dismissed Sediqullah Atal with a googly and also took a brilliant catch to remove Rahmanullah Gurbaz. His spell helped India restrict Afghanistan to 159/8 before India chased the target with seven wickets in hand to take a 2-0 lead in the Afghanistan series.
He said of his performance: “One important thing was that I was able to put into practice the things I had been working on during training. Being able to contribute to the team’s win made it even better.”
Speaking about the third and final T20I, Afghanistan captain Ibrahim Zadran won the toss and invited Shreyas Iyer to bat first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. They made one change as Yash Thakur came in for Arshdeep Singh for the final game against Afghanistan.
